There? nothing inherently wrong with using wood in your cabinetry, as wood comes in many shapes and styles that stainless wouldn?. Plus, wood cabinets can be painted or stained any shade; and, when properly installed, they look great.

Certain benefits are associated with stainless steel kitchen cabinets. There? nothing that? more durable than when you buy stainless steel. They can take a beating, and still look perfect. It takes a very hard strike to dent or mar stainless. Make sure you keep very strong acids away from it, though, as acids as strong as you? see in a car battery will create permanent dulled stain areas. Never dump caustic chemicals down a stainless steel sink, or lay them on a counter-top.

However, stainless steel kitchen cabinets will last far longer than wood cabinets will; and they?l always keep the contents safe and well-protected.

If you install stainless steel kitchen cabinets, you?l never have to reface them or do glazing. There?l be no need to sand them down, or use messy paint removers, or buff them, or re-stain the door fronts as you would if you had wood, every few years. That will certainly cut down on the extra maintenance time you could better spend on the golf course or having fun.

There will never be paint that will peel or come off, plus there will be no chance that dry rot will set in. One of the main problems with wood cabinets is dry rot. Dry rot refers to the decay of timber in buildings and other wooden structures caused by certain fungi. It? caused by a fungus called either: Serpula lacrymans (formerly Merulius lacrymans) predominantly in the United Kingdom and northern Europe; and/or Meruliporia incrassata in North America. You?l never have to worry about getting dry rot in your cabinets if you install stainless steel kitchen cabinets. Since the kitchen can get pretty humid, this can be a common problem in wood cabinetry, whereas stainless steel cabinets always stand up to the moisture.

And, finally, there? a thing called ?et warp? When you have wood cabinets, particularly ones made from fiberboard core with a wood veneer, the fiberboard swells (quickly) as it expands, causing heaving of the surface where two cracks meet. You?l never have this problem, of course, if you install stainless steel kitchen cabinets.

When you purchase metal cabinetry, it generally comes pre-assembled, meaning that it comes as-is and simply needs to be screwed onto the wall.

However, stainless steel kitchen cabinets aren? perfect. They?e tough and look great; but you should be aware that there are potential downfalls to buying stainless steel. First is, it? expensive. It can cost thousands of dollars to install an entire system, depending on the model, look, and quantity. Second, they're functional, but not as nice a fashion decision. Plus, stainless steel can be noisy.  Each time you set pots and pans on it, it will give a resounding sound. Plus, they can feel a bit cold?so, mix stainless steel with wood in other places of the room so it isn? completely stark feel.
